Get Ready to Pedal

Tour de Salt Shaker is a full Saline County community event that will bring cyclist and Backyard BBQ together for a fun-filled Saline County festival.

The Tour de Salt Shaker ride will comprise three cycling routes throughout Saline County to choose from. We will have a Fondo (50 miles), Medio (25 miles), and Townie (10 miles). The Townie is a great “family fun ride”. This event will begin and end in downtown Benton where a Backyard BBQ Cook-off will be hosted and festivities for the whole family including craft booths, face painting, a tot race, live entertainment, food trucks and more.

Important Announcement

After countless hours of meetings and discussions, we regret that our Tour De Salt Shaker will be canceled this year due to the uncertainties surrounding COVID-19. It is definitely not the route we wanted to take, but it is so important that we are prudent and consider the safety and well-being of athlete cyclists, our Saline County community, volunteers and our staff.

We will begin to plan for the 2021 Tour De Salt Shaker and look forward to such a great event for the community of Saline County.

Cancelling the Tour De Salt Shaker has not been an easy decision and we understand this is disappointing to all and you as an athlete, the work, training and dedication you have put in to plan for this great event, so please know that this cancelation was made with the safety of the entire community in mind.

Because of this cancellation, you will be given a FULL REFUND. We are currently working with BikeReg to get your refund processed.

The Rides

We have three rides: 10, 25 and 50 miles. There’s something for every kind of cyclist. All rides are fully supported with SAG vehicles, have rest stops with food, drink, and of course a great community of fellow cyclists.

Yes all riders must wear a helmet that is secured to their head per manufacturers guidelines.

Yes. You can download the waiver here or sign one prior to the starting of the ride on May 16.
